Thanks for the invite! I visited your website, I can tell you put a lot of thought into it.
We share something in common, I too prepare taxes for Individuals and businesses. Hope to chat with you sometime.

1. Go to http://www.zip-codes.com/search.asp and check out the free zip code locators on the left hand side of the page. Use the Free Radius Search and type in your zip code and the miles you are willing to travel outside of your area.
2. This will create a chart for you. With the fields Zip, City, County, State, Area Code, Miles from Zip
3. Then highlight the entire chart and copy. Paste the chart into an Excel Work Sheet.
If you know how to use Excel you can adjust the columns and rows to suit your needs.
I've added columns "Rate Per Mile" and "Travel Charge".
You can add this formula to calculate your fees so it does this instantly for you.
In the "fx" box =F2*G2 (which multiplies your "Miles" times the "Rate Per Mile" columns
and places that answer in the" Travel Charge" column). You can grab the handles of that corner of the box
and then drag it down the column in Excel to formulate the rest of your rows for you.
4. You can easily use this chart to refer to and I've used mine to add to my webpage as well.
Check this out at my website: http://notaryofiowa.com/mileagechart.html
5. Now how do you take this chart and turn it into a picture to use on a website.
This took me awhile to figure this out but I manage to do it because I was trying
to change an Excel .xls file to a .jpg or .gif (photo) file.
First of all I highlighted about 44 rows each time and paste it into a Microsoft Office Publisher 2003
blank page from there I was able to "save" the page as a .jpg or.gif (best to save it as a jpg.).
Then I used my Microsoft Office Picture Manager (photo editor program) to crop and resize
(or you can compress) it into a smaller file to use on my website.
Good Luck and Have Fun!
Millie
